Learning that shows up in the work.

Most organisations know their people need to keep developing.

Leaders need support to manage teams well. Employees need strong communication and collaboration skills. And growing businesses often reach a point where they need more structure around learning and development.

That’s where Gathered Minds comes in.

We provide practical leadership training, workplace training programmes, and learning and development support for organisations across New Zealand. Our focus is simple: helping people build the skills they use every day at work.

Who we are

Gathered Minds is led by Mike Jones.

For most programmes Mike works directly with clients, designing and facilitating the learning himself. When a programme benefits from additional expertise or scale, he brings in trusted facilitators and specialists from his network.

This approach keeps the experience personal and flexible, while still allowing organisations to access the capability they need.

What we help with

We help people get better at the everyday stuff that makes the biggest difference: how they communicate, how they lead, how they manage their time, and how they show up for each other.

Because when those things click, teams do their best work.

How we’ll work together:

Every business is different, so we meet you where you’re at:

  • If you need something tailored, we’ll design it with you.

  • If you want something ready to roll, we’ve got tried-and-tested workshops that can be easily adapted for your team.

Whichever way we go, the focus stays the same, learning that makes sense in the real world.

About me

Hi, I’m Mike Jones and I run Gathered Minds.

I’ve worked in Learning & Development, Training and Leadership roles, and studied Business Psychology to understand how people learn best.

But most importantly, I’m a keen learner myself.

Over the years, I’ve seen how powerful learning can be when it connects to real work.

That’s why I built Gathered Minds. To make development part of everyday life, not something that fades after a workshop.

I’m driven by one thing: helping people grow and succeed in their careers.
